Project IC Companys - Lodz, Poland

We have delivered a large stock to IC Companys' Central Warehouse in Poland. The project includes pallet racks and warehouse shelving for boxes and slick rail (system with rails for picking and storing hanging garments). The warehouse was installed in just 4 weeks by our local Polish technical team.

News - Handlertrolley We have a new trolley in our product range. The Handlertrolley is zinc-welded and can be supplied in 2 sizes - 800x600 mm and 1200x800 mm. It is a simple but robust trolley, and it is easy to assemble. The quality is in the top and the price is low.

Head of department Michael Lund Johansen from commodity warehouse in Bagsværd appreciate this years Novo Nordisk OSH price. Last year it was the factory in Montes Claros, who received the award "The Novo Nordisk Occupational Health and Safety Award! - Novo Nordisk OSH price. In 2008 it was Section 015 in Bagsværd that received the price. 015 stands for Raw Material Supply or Commodity warehouse. They got a big, beautiful picture of the artist Ivan Andersen as a visible token of honor. Ivan Andersen is a young artist who also has signed this year's Tivoli-poster.

"The winner in 2007 is a department that has combined innovation, technical skills, responsible use of resources and attention to quality, as they created a solution that has improved the working environment for users of the warehouse," said Executive Vice President Lise Kingo on the award of prize.

She also pointed out that the particular solution is also energy efficient and reduces the risk of human errors.

This is a new freezer compartment which have triggered this honor. The freezer compartment is equipped with vertical lifts with room for between 8000 and 9000 5-liter containers of bulk insulin. By the arrangement in the vertical lifts, there have been significant improvements for personnel working in the department. The share of heavy lifting has been reduced by 8-16 tonnes per year. And there have been thought alot about repetitive work (EGA) and heavy lifting, because machines were designed. Fewer lifting and lifting to be performed can be done in more correct positions.

"The project has attracted great interest throughout the Novo Nordisk. There are many freezer compartments and many of them are not yet been designed optimally. The work is known to be stressful both physical and mental. Our solution is unique because we have not previously been able to find suppliers which could supply vertical lifts to freezer compartments and what dows the staff member say, "wrote manager Michael Lund Johansen and his team in their approach to prize committee.

LIS AS and Handler A/S enter into an agreement on the sale of vertical lifts in Norway

From the 1st of June 2008 LIS AS, one of Norway’s leading wholesalers of in-house material handling, and Handler A/S, Denmark’s and one of Scandinavia’s leading suppliers of vertical lifts, enter into a co-operation, as LIS Lager & Industrisystemer AS is going to market and sell Handler's vertical lifts in Norway.

Handler A/S has sold more than 1500 vertical lifts in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, United Kingdom, and USA and is leading within this field in Scandinavia. Handler A/S also supplies shelving and packet racking and accessories for Denmark and foreign countries.

Both parts finds a good market possibility in a co-operation, and it is therefore expected, that LIS already during the year of 2008 will be a noticeable agent for Handlers LogiMat vertical lift on the Norwegian market.

The worlds largest windmill manufacturers...

Recently we installed 3 new LogiMat Vertical Lifts at Siemens Wind Power in Brande, Denmark which is one of the worlds largest windmill manufacturers. The Vertical Lifts contains parts for both production and spare parts.

Great success with timber racks

Timber racks was until a few years ago largely unknown to the Danish timberyards, but they were used widely in the Swedish and German colleagues. The space and time-saving rack types is now starting to penetrate into the Danish timberyards and DIY centre. In late April we delivered HANDLER timber rack no. 39 and 40.

2007 - SILVAN DIY center in Vanløse Handler A/S har leveret og monteret pallereoler, grenreoler, indstiksreoler samt andet inventar til SILVAN i Vanløse. Montagen af projektet er efter SILVAN's ønske gennemført på en rekordtid på kun 13 dage. HANDLER A/S has delivered and installed pallet racks, cantilever racks, timber racks and other equipment to Silvan in Vanløse. To Silvan's wish, the installation of the project have been completed in a record time of only 13 days.

2400 m² storage area

We have just finished the installation of 12 LogiMat vertical lifts at Brdr. Dahl in Randers, Denmark. The storage space in the 12 machines equals the space of approx 2400 m² storage area.
The Vertical Lifts are supplements to the already 20 installed machines which Brdr. Dahl have had for a few years. The lifts have proven their reliability by being one of the reasons that ordered goods are delivered to Brdr. Dahls customers on time.

The largest plumbing and heating merchant in Germany have just ordered their 3rd system of 8 LogiMat Vertical Lifts with SHARK software and wireless pick-to-light logimates. The merchant has obtained more than 10 times the picking rate together with a very large saving of space by introducing this overall solution.

New mezzanine to GN Store Nord

The installation of 3 huge mezzanine at GN Store Nord has just been completed.
The 3 mezzanine for a total of 481 m2 was delivered in spring 2006 and was completely installated in just 3 weeks.

1,2 million goods get picked each year

9 big LogiMat Vertical Lifts with software and wireless pick-to-light solution logimates were installed in July at Denmark’s largest distribution company. The machines are to make sure that 1.2 million goods get picked each year.

LogiMat – Case Study – Novo

- a new laboratory and better working conditions.

In 2003 Novozymes purchased a LogiMat that has reduced the required storage space from 40 m² to 6 m². At the same time the LogiMate has provided much better working conditions for 15 employees.

“After having installed the LogiMat we have saved a significant amount of storage space – in fact so much that we have been able to establish a brand new laboratory in the room that used to hold our flasks”, says Ingrid Påske Jørgensen, specialist laboratory technician at Novo Nordisk.

Before the purchase of the LogiMat Novo Nordisk used a big room for storage of their flasks. All the heavy flasks stood on tables all around the room in easy reach of the staff. The flasks took up unnecessary space, and were extremely heavy to lift.

Therefore HANDLER A/S adapted the LogiMat in such a way that it is possible to work with the flasks at an ergonomically correct height, thus eliminating lifting – and at the same time the flasks are stored in the LogiMat so that they only take up a fraction of the space required before.

“Not only have we gained much more space, but we have also achieved better working conditions for our 15 employees who had to lift heavy items before; this was an added bonus. We are really pleased with the solution which HANDLER A/S adapted especially according to our requirements”, says Ingrid Påske Jørgensen, specialist laboratory technician at Novo Nordisk.

The LogiMat simply lifts the flasks in question up to the correct position so that the employees at Novo Nordisk can easily work with them. Furthermore the LogiMat tilts the flask when it is to be filled thus relieving the employees of the manual work.

This is a well-conceived solution taking full account for the individual demands and requirements at Novo Nordisk.

Here you can see the 3 lift cylinders that are installed under the pick-window of the LogiMat.		Press one of the foot pedal to raise or lower a flask.


The special desined tray with 3 flasks are here taken to pick-window and ready to be handled.		A special version of the software Shark, keeps track of expiry date, batch no. and whether the flask is inoculated with more.


The requested flask can be stirred without the operator having to perform the heavy lifting.		The special designed tray with a molded fiberglass support, makes the storage of the flasks very easy.
